Community

My definition of community is ; all the people living in an area or a group or groups of people who share common interests.

Organisms
My definition is ; any living thing such as insect, plant or bacteria. The picture in the back is an organism, it's a plant.

Ecosystems
My definition is ; a community of living organisms, with nonliving components of their environment (things like air, water and mineral soil) The picture in the background is describing how people live in a community with air , water , and soil.

Food Pyramids
My definition is ; a representation of predatory relationships in the food chain, different types of animals are shown on different levels, with each level preying on the one below it.

Food Web
My definition is ; organisms related by predator-prey and consumer-resource interactions. The picture in the back is an example of a food web.

Trophic levels
My definition is ; any class of organisms that occupy the same position in a food chain, as primary consumers, secondary consumers, and tertiary consumers. The picture in the back is example of the trophic levels.

Detrivores
My definition is ; An organism that uses organic waste as a food source, as certain insects. The picture in the back is a example of a detrivores.

Detritus
My definition is ; waste or debris on a lake, creek, or pond. The picture in the background is a picture of the creek with detritus, their is leafs, branches, and some twigs.

Decomposers
My definition is ; An organism, that breaks down the cells of dead plants and animals into simpler substances. The picture in the background is an example of a decomposer.

Omnivores
My definition is ; the act of a person or thing that eats both animal and plant foods. The picture in the background is an example of an omnivore.

Tertiary
My definition is ; a tertiary animals is a animal that feeds on secondary sources. The picture in the back is an example of a tertiary.

Consumers
My definition is ; A person or thing that eats or uses something. The picture in the back is a food that a person or thing can consume.

Carnivores
My definition is ; an animal that feeds on meats from different things, people. My picture is an example of what a carnivore can eat.

Secondary consumers
My definition is ; They eat primary consumers. They are carnivores (meat-eaters) and omnivores (animals that eat both animals and plants). The picture in the background is an example of a secondary consumer.

Primary consumers
My definition is ; They eat primary producers; they are also called herbivores are animals that eat greens (plant-eaters.) The picture in the back is an example of were the primary consumer is on the food web.

Heterotrophs consumers
My definition is ; An organism requiring organic compounds for its principal source of food. The picture in the in the background is an example of a heterotroph.

Autotrophs
My definition is ; An organism that is able to form nutritional organic substances from inorganic substances such as carbon dioxide. The picture in the back is a example of a autotrophs.

Biomass
My definition is ; the total mass of organisms in a given area or volume.
The picture in the background is an example of biomass.

Producers
My definition is ; A person, thing, or animal that can make something that is helpful in the world or ecosystem. The picture in the background is a example of a producer.

Photosynthesis
My definition is ; The process by which green plants and some other organisms use sunlight to synthesize foods from carbon dioxide and water.

Energy
My definition is ; The strength and vitality required for sustained physical or mental activity. The picture in the background is an example of a energy source.

Carrying capacity
My definition is ; The number of people, other living organisms, or crops that a region can support without environmental degradation.
The picture is a example of carrying capacity.

Abiotic limits
My definition is ; all of the non-living things in an ecosystem. The picture is and example of abiotic. Water is
abiotic.

Biotic limits
My definition is ; All of the living organisms within an ecosystem. The picture is an example of a biotic .

Reproduction
My definition is ; The action or process of multiplying. The picture is an example of reproduction.

Potential
My definition is ; having or showing the capacity to become or develop into something in the future. The picture in the background is an example.

Limiting factors
My definition is ; Factor that is of predominant importance in restricting the size of a population. The picture is an example of a limiting factor.
