In which setups seeds sprout first?

Setups B and C

What has Been Noticed

  • Setup A- All the seeds sprouted and will continue growing.
  • Setup B- It was growing at first, but it is dead.
  • Setup C- One seed sprouted so high like it is growing.
  • Setup D- Some seeds were sprouting, but dead.
  • Setup E- Just one seed sprouted.

What did you notice about the speed of growth in each setup?

Setup A grew the most seeds, Setup C grew the tallest seed and Setup E grew (so far) the least seeds.

Which seeds will sprout and would continue to develop into seedlings?

I choose Setup A because it grew the most seedlings.

PROCESSING QUESTIONS

Which seeds recorded the fastest and slowest growth speed?

  • Setup A grew the fastest
  • Setup C grew the slowest

Were there any seeds that didn't grow at all?

Setup D didn't grow at all because there was no soil.

CONCLUSION

What affects seed germination?

  • The seed germination is affected by necessary conditions like water, temperature and CO2.
  • Each seed undergo adaptations depending on the ideal condition (too dark, too bright, too hot, too cold, etc.).

Reflections

  • Plants need water, sunlight, air and temp.
  • Some plants have adaptations to help the seed do germination.
  • Plants need to do germination to make it grow.
