NICOLAUS COPERNICUS

  • Assembled the astronomical telescope and stated earth revoles around the sun
  • In 1588
  • He proved Copernicus theory correct

TYCHO BRAHE

  • Provided evidence that supported Copernicus theory
  • In the late 1500s
  • Changed the way we look at the position of planets 

Johannes Kepler

  • Used Brahe's data to calculate the orbits of the planets around the sun

  • Showed that each planet does not move in perfect circle 

Isaac Newton

  • Showing that a single force keeps the planets in their orbit by gravity
