• He said that the only way to keep order is to use and absolute monarchy
• He says that they all ned to be controlled
• He said they had no natural rights

JEAN-JACQUES ROUSSEU

• Influenced the French Revolution
• Wrote the social contract
• Though the nobles savage and that people essentially got along until property came along

VOLTAIRE

• Attacked on Catholic Churches
• wrote many letters, which made him a famous author
• Tried to spread ideas of Enlightenment, like freedom of religion and other civil liberties
