• Elect come forward with their sponsors
• Kneel down
• The whole assembly joins them in
• A moment of silent prayer and reflection

INTERCESSION FOR THE ELECT

• The whole congregation prays
• together out loud for the Elect

PRAYER OF EXORCISM

• The congregation prays that the
• Elect might be freed for the power
• of the Evil One

LAYING ON OF HANDS

• The priest lays his hands on
• each of the Elect for a brief
• moment. It is calling down the
• Spirit of Christ to protect them

DISMISSAL OF THE ELECT

• The Elect are sent forth
• To reflect on the word
• and the love of Christ and
• the church community
