DIET
Green sea turtles eat sea grasses (Yum Yum.)
Leatherbacks feed on jellyfish and soft-bodied animals.
Loggerhead eat crabs, clams, mussels.
Hawksbills eat jellyfish.
The Olive Ridley eat lobster, crabs, tunicates, shrimp, and fish.

HABITAT
Loggerhead turtles nest in the Carolinas but other sea turtles feed in our waters.
Sea turtles go up to shore sometimes to check on their babies, to see if they have hatched yet.
Every sea turtle species on Earth nests on Mexico's and Hawaii beaches.
Sea Turtles are found in shallow, coastal waters, bays or lagoons.
Leatherbacks spend most of their lives at sea and sometimes look for prey in coastal waters.

SEA TURTLE PREDATORS
90% of the eggs that are laid won’t have a sea turtle that makes it to last the first year.
Sea turtle predators are killer whales.
Baby sea turtles however, get eaten by foxes ,seagulls ,raccons , ghost crabs and more.
Adult sea turtles have a few predators mostly large sharks, and Tiger sharks.
Fishes, dogs, seabirds, raccoons, ghost crabs, and other predators prey on eggs and hatchlings. .

LOOKS
leatherbacks reach about 1.2m to 1.9m and can weight up to 1,116 lbs.
Adults can reach 90 centimeters in length.
The Kemp's ridley and Olive ridley are the smallest species, and reach about 55 to 75 cm.
Green sea turtles can weight up to 410 lbs.
Flatbacks reach about 81 to 97 cm and up to 185 lbs.

FUN FACTS
Leatherbacks are extremely fast swimmers and swim more than 20 miles per hour.
Sea turtles can live up to 80 years.
Leatherback sea turtles can travel more than 10,000 miles every year.
Sea Turtles can hold their breath for more then 30 minutes.
Leatherback sea turtles have been known to dive over 1,000 feet deep in the ocean.
