CHARACTERISTICS

• Adult male and female sea turtles are equal size.
• Sea turtles are characterized by a large strong sell.
• Depending on the species sea turtles range can be lots of colors.
• There flipers adapted for swimming.Sea turtles are awkward on land.

ADAPTATIONS

• Sea turtle are modified into long paddle like flivers for swimming.
• Sea turtles lungs can happen that in one breath the get 50% air.
• Sea turtles are adapted to the water (ocean) so they are slow on sand.

POPULATION

• In 1942 there where 42,00 every day (nests).
• In 1990 there where 15,730 to 41,373 (female nests).
• In 1999 there where 200 to 1,000 (nests).
• In 2014 there where 30 (nests).

Threats
Beach cleaning:
people go to the beach and they clean at nesting beaches and the people take the eggs out of its habitat and that is not allowed, so they started putting a net where the eggs are, so the people don't harm the eggs or take the eggs.
Predators:
Turtle eggs sometimes disappear because there predators eat them and that is not allowed and they tried there best to come up with a solution, when they came up with a solution they made a special tunnel for the eggs and it worked.

2# threats
Oil and gas:
People always throw oil and gas to the ocean and that is not good because the sea turtles will drink the water and they will get sick, it started to stop a little bit but some people still do but less, so who ever is listening and dose this please stop.
Fisher men:
Fisher men sometimes get a sea turtle in there nets and they don't want that and turtles can get hurt and they break the net, so they started to make a special net so the turtles can be free and not get harmed

Saving sea turtles
Some people have been saving sea turtles and I will tell you because sea turtles are no harm and they are part of the ocean so i don't know why people are killing sea turtles, don't harm the sea turtles.

If I would save the sea turtles
I would stop catching turtles, then I would not play rough with a turtle and of course I would not pollute the ocean, if you try something to save the sea turtles tell me
PLEASE!!!
