Birth

An adult female sea turtle will create a nest. Then she will go back into the sea and leaves her nest and her eggs. In 45-70 days the baby sea turtles will hatch. They will stay in the nest for a few days. While those days they will absorb there yolk which provides needed energy to go to out to sea.

Diet
The most common items sea turtles eat are jellyfish, seaweed, crabs, shrimps, algae,snails, and mollusks.

Range
Sea turtles are found all over the world in warm tempertured water.Sea turtles migrate hundreds of miles between feeding and nesting grounds. Sea turtles migrate 1,400 miles.

Species
There are 7 types of sea turtles. All 7 species are endangered. The species are the leatherback, the geen turtle, the loggerhead, the hawksbill, the kemp's ridely, the olive ridely, and the flatback.

Leatherbacks
Leatherbacks are the biggest sea turtles. They can reach lengths up to 6 feet. They can also weigh over 2,000 pounds.

Green Turtles
Green turtles can be up to 3 feet long. They can weigh up to 350 pounds. They can come in many colors, including shades of black or gray.

Loggerheads
Loggerheads are a reddish-brown color. They have very large heads. They can be up to 3.5 feet and weigh up to 400 pounds.

Hawksbill
Hawksbills can be up to 3.5 feet long. They can weigh up to 180 pounds. Hawksbills are named after there beak.

Kemp's Ridleys
Kemp's Ridelys can be as long as 30 inches. They usually weigh 80-100 pounds.

Olive Ridelys
Olive Ridelys are named after there olive like smell. They are small and can weigh less than 100 pounds.

Flatbacks
Flatbacks only breed and nest in Australia. An adult flatback weighs 200 pounds and is 3 feet long. Flatbacks are named after there flat shells.
