WHERE DO SECONDARY WAVES BEGIN?

  • Secondary waves are the .second semismic waves to arrive there in any particular place.
  • After an earthquake They start at the same time as primary waves
  • Secondary waves travel through earth interior add about half the speed of primary waves
  • Secondary wavesis the fastest kind of seismic wave, ant the first to arrive at a seismic station

HOW DO SECONDARY WAVES MOVE

  • The Secondary waves move very smoothly and away the motion
  • There are a type of elastic wave and are one of the two main types of elastic body waves
  • Secondary waves can only move through solid not threw liquid
  • Secondary waves flag behind primary wave because they traveled 1.7 times slower

What can secondary waves move thourgh?
Secondary waves cause the rocks they pass through to change in shape. These waves are the second fastest traveling seismic waves after primary waves and can travel through solids but not through liquids or gases.
