What is Sediment Pollution???

Sediment pollution is tiny particles of soil and organic matter that are suspended in the rivers water.

Why is this a problem???

This is a problem because excess sediment makes the water "turbid" or cloudy, harming pelagic plants and habitats for fish and other wildlife.

THINGS YOU CAN DO TO HELP YOUR RIVER!!!

  • Dont flush your pills
  • Adapt your storm drain
  • Rake up, sweep up, pick up
  • Get active in your community!!!!
  • Participate in a community cleanup

The pollution in the air is unhealthy to our enviroment. To make sure your community stays clean you can......
1.Clean up trash around your River
2.Clean up trash from around your sewer
3.Put up signs saying people should clean up after their pets
4.Clean out Gutters
5. Don't Litter!!!
