WHO MY PERSON IS :
Selena Quintanilla should be the replacement for Andrew Jackson in the twenty dollar bill, because she was a well known thru out the United States, when she had a dream she went & followed it she also got farther then what she planned, she was an inspiration to women.

1988: she was known enough to get voted on for female artist of the year for Tejano music.
1989: her bands popularity kept expanding.
1990: Yolanda approached the family offering on opening a fan club.
1992: first album came out.
1994: she became a true superstar
1995: opened a boutique & salon. Months later died.
BIOGRAPHY :
Selena was born April 16, 1977 in a town nearby Houston Tx, she was born in a family of musicians as her brother (bass) & her sister (drums) Selena's instrument was her voice. They singed in the family restaurant but when that broke down they moved to Corpus Christy Tx & singed in weddings, parties, ect. Since she was traveling alot she was bearly getting time for school so she dropped of in the 8th grade but she attended an online school in Chicago were she got her degree. In 1986 her career took off at the Tejano music awards she took female vocalist of the year & kept getting them for the next 10 years. In 1988 she met Chris Perez after her family hired him later to get married to him in 1992.
In 1990 Yolanda approached the family offering to open up a fan club claiming she was the #1 fan. 1993 she won Grammys for the best Mexican American performance. But 1994 was one of her best years. 1995 she opened up a boutique & salon something she always wanted, but later that year she found out Yolanda was stealing from the fans & when Selena confronted her they had an argument where Yolanda got mad & she ended up shooting Selena when later that day she died.
