NUCLEUS

CONTAINS DNA AND IS THE CONTROL CENTER
Nucleus is like an office because it stores the DNA and is the control center (including the principal)

VACUOLES/VESICLES

STORE MATERIALS: FILING CABINETS
The vacuoles/ vesicles store material much like the filing cabinets in a school

LYSOSOMES

BREAK DOWN AND RECYCLE MACROMOLECULES
The lysosomes break down materials just like how the trash cans organize the trash and recycle

CYTOSKELETON

MAINTAINS CELL SHAPE, MOVES CELL PARTS, AMD HELP CELLS MOVE
The cytoskeleton is the foundation of the school just like how it is vital to supporting the cell

RIBOSOMES

BUILD THE PROTEINS
The ribosomes build proteins just as chefs cook food to give to the parts in a cell (students)

ENDOPLASMIC RETICULUM

ASSEMBLES PROTEINS AND LIPIDS
The hallways help transport people around school just like the endoplasmic reticulum

GOLGI APPARATUS

MODIFIES/SORTS/PACKAGES PROTEINS AND LIPIDS FOR STORAGE OR TRANSPORT OUTSIDE OF CELL
The Golgi apparatus sends out info just like school emails

CHLOROPLASTS

CONVERT SOLAR ENERGY TO CHEMICAL ENERGY STOrED IN FOOD
Solar panels: they convert the sun into energy for the school to use

MITOCHONDRIA

CONVERT CHEMICAL ENERGY AND FOOD TO USABLE COMPOUNDS
The cafeteria because it is where the students convert the energy in food in to energy for themselves

CELLWALL

SHAPES SUPPORTS AND PROTECTS THE CELL
Bricks of the buildings because it supports life

CELL MEMBRANE

MONITORS WHAT MATERIALS ENTER AND LEAVE THE CELL
It's like the security guard at ND because they don't let bad people in
