What is it?

  • Visual representation of concepts and important vocab
  • A way to organize and group vocabulary based on meanings and relationships
  • Content enhancement device used as a pre-learning activity that assists students in activating their prior knowledge

Ways to use it:

  • Students generate related vocabulary to teacher provided topic
  • Teacher provides vocabulary words and as a class they make connections and meaning between the words and the topic to create a map
