  • The comedic democrat was born May 21, 1951,St.Louis, Minnesota
  • He graduated from Harvard in 1973.
  • He met his wife while he was at Harvard, they had two children.
  • He also has one grandchild.
  • For 37 years, he served as head writer for Saturday Night Live.

  • In 2008, he was elected to the senate
  • He is a member of the democratic-farm-labor party
  • He has been a senator for the past 5 years.
  • He is a member of two comittees.
  • The Indian Affairs Committee and Committee on the Judiciary
