Simple and Compound Sentences

Simple Sentences:
Simple Sentences contain only one independent clause. These kind of sentences include a complete subject and complete predicate.

Simple Sally says, "I have only one thought in my sentence!"

Compound Sentences:
Compound sentences contain two or more independent clauses, two complete subjects, two complete predicates, a comma, and a subordinating conjunction to separate the two main clauses in a sentence.

Compound Chris says, "I have two complete thoughts in my sentence connected by a conjunction!"
