About His Poetry
William Shakespeare was a great poet and had a love for literature. He wrote mostly about love, life, friendships, and some comedies too. He also wrote many plays as well.( Romeo and Juliet, Hamlet, Macbeth)

He is known as the literary genius and most of his fame is due to his short sonnet poems. Shakespeare is the most widely read author in the western world. Back then he wasn't as widely known until after his death, like most great poets.

William Shakespeare was popular during the Renaissance time and he was an inspiration to all of those people of this time as well. It was highly fashionable to write poems during that time period.
