Information on the Shang dynasty and Zhou government/religion.
The Zhou dynasty was before the Shang dynasty. In it the government and religion are quit different.
The Zhou's religion believed in heavenly spirits instead of ghosts like the Shang dynasty.
The Zhou believed in celestial deities the highest were heaven, shangtian, sun, moon, stars, and planets. There were also the terrestrial deities the highest of them was God of Millet, the Five Offerables, the Five Mountains, and geographical things like hills.
In 1899 the figured out the Chinese were selling dragon bones with stuff in scripted on them.

The Zhengzhou and Erlitou were the early Shang and Xai dynasties.
