I grew up in Olivet Michigan a rural small town between Lansing and Battle Creek.

I have two brothers that are both grown and have made me a proud aunt of three nieces.

When I was in second grade I remember staying in for recess to help my teacher grade papers. I knew then what I wanted to do when I grew up!

I enjoy watching Colton play football, basketball, run track, and play the baritone in the band. He is starting high school this year.

I enjoy watching Joe play football, coach t-ball, and build things out of wood. He is starting 5th grade in the fall.

In 2009 I was saved and Jesus as been my guide ever since.

I teach Sunday school with my 14 year old son; we teach the two and three year olds. They keep us busy.

When we are not teaching we are enjoying the service given by our Pastors and enjoying our worship team at City on a Hill Community Church.

I began my teaching career 18 years ago. I have taught Title I reading, computer, first grade, and now kindergarten.

My favorite part of the day is greeting the students at the door first thing in the morning. They give me a high five, hug, or a handshake. I believe this leads to a successful day!

I received my bachelors degree from Olivet College in 1997. I am currently attending WMU pursuing a masters degree in Educational Leadership. After this semester I only have two classes left! Yahoo!
