Key Area 1

THE BIRTH OF THE CHURH AT PENTECOST

  • The Pentecost is an explanation of resurrection, the apostles were led by ether and empowered the Holy Spirit were destined to spread the story of the risen Christ. As they shared the word the followers of Christianity. The Pentecost is on May 15th and celebrates the birth of church and the resurrection of Jesus Christ. It is also celebrating the trinity, a term that describes God This helps Christianity expand because of the resurrection of Jesus shows that God can do anything if you have Faith

The Missionary Jouneys of St Paul (Acts 22:1-21)

  • Paul was born as a member of the Benjamin tribe in Tarsus to a wealthy family. The Jewish community were all well educated. As a teenager he went to Jerusalem to learn about the Jewish law, he studies the law in the school of Gamaliel. He spread the word of Jesus throughout the Athens and Corinth. He was beheaded in Rome around 64 AD.

Key Area 2

The early Christian followers achieved many challenges and goals that they set. " The Seventy Apostles" we're the early students if Jesus and is mentioned in the gospel of Luke (10:1-24) and only appears in Luke's gospel. The disciples were all sent out their own unique missions that is detailed in the text.

  • We as Christians carry out Jesus' mission by spreading the word of the lord by healing the sick and feeding the hungry although charity's are not as widely known but people still donate to fundings for the poor and homeless.
