  • Fluid, runny lava
  • Can flow long distances
  • Least viscous magma (basaltic)

  • Erupt non explosively
  • Pour out huge volumes of fluid lava

  • Hawaiian volcanoes
  • Mount Loa is largest of Hawaiian volcanoes
