THEY SHOULD BE IN THE SAME CLASS BECAUSE :

GREEK HISTORY

  • The Greeks had many defensive victories
  • They had to trade and farm for food

GREEK GEOGRAPHY

  • Greece has a lot of mountains
  • Because of the the mountains they had very bad farming
  • Greece is on a peninsula
  • They had to fish and trade to get food
  • The mountains acted as a natural barrier

AVERAGE CLIMATE

  • Athens- 200-400 mm/yr."rain"
  • Temp January- (30-50 f)
  • Temp July- average (65-80 f)

MOUNTAINS

  • The mountains acted like a natural barrier
  • The Greeks would set up archers on the mountins
  • Because of the mountains they farming was low

SEA

  • The sea was a very important part of Greek life
  • Without the sea they could only trade in the summer months
  • The sea offered fish and other sea foods for the Greeks

WARFARE

  • They were in war against the Persians and other invaders
  • Greece won most of the battles they were in
  • They trained there army at a young age

TRADE

  • Most of the trade was overseas but they also traded by land
  • The mountains maid it hard to travel by land but they still attempted it

THAT IS WHY HISTORY AND GEOGRAPHY SHOULD BE TAUGHT IN THE SAME CLASS
