The Birth
Shrek wasn't born with any supernatural abilities or in a supernatural way. Though, at the age of 7, Shrek was left on his own.
(7 years old is the usual age where ogres separate from their parents.)

The call to adventure happened when the fairy tale characters forced to move to Shrek's swamp, so Shrek went to Lord Farquaad to ask if he could have his swamp back but they made a deal that
if Shrek got Fiona for Lord Farquaad, then Shrek can get his swamp back.

Shrek doesn't have a supernatural helper, but he does have Donkey. Donkey helps him throughout the story with the adventures Shrek embarks on.

Shrek doesn't have a tangible special weapon, but rather he is born with it. His looks scare off others and his strength overpowers a human.

Shrek crosses the threshold when he takes on the adventure to find Fiona for Lord Farquaad.
