• THE EARTHQUAKE WAS 8.0 MS AND 7.9 MW. IT ONLY LASTED 2 MIN.
• Destroyed about 80% of the buildings there
• It's speed was 3.1 kilometers/second
• It ruptured about a total of 300km
• The focus was deeper than 10km. Thousands of lives were lost. Hundreds were injured.

HOW DID IT AFFECT THE EXOSYSTEM?

• Hundreds of homes and buildings were destroyed.
• Trees, forest were completely demolished.
• Habitats for animals were gone, completely.
• The earthquake destroyed ponds, and lakes causing a drought.
• It was a very powerful earthquake

HOW CAN WE FIX IT?

• One way we can fix the environment is cleaning up all the trash that was made
• We can recycle things that we found to make new equipment
• We can also make a donation to china to replace all of the lost homes
• We can fix the droughts by filling up the holes with dirt and in time the water will come back
• we can save the forests by picking up the dead trees and replanting. We'll have new forests
