  • Born may 6 1856 in Austrian empire
  • became known as the founding father of psychoanalysis.
  • Freud entered the University of Vienna at age 17
  • was appointed a university lecturer in neuropathology in 1885 and became an affiliated professor
  • Died 23 September 1939 (aged 83) London, England

THE CONSCIOUS AND UNCONSCIOUS MIND

  • Behavior personality derives from the constant and unique interaction of conflicting
  • The conscious mind includes everything that we are aware of.
  • The preconscious mind is the part of the mind that represents ordinary memory
  • unconscious mind is a reservoir of feelings, thoughts outside the conscious awareness

PSYCHOSEXUAL DEVELOPMENT
