*Skill related fitness is defined as working out with a goal of improving a specific skill.
*Skill related fitness includes training to improve:
-Speed
-Agility
-Balance
-Coordination
-Power
-Reaction Time.
These are usually used to help athletes improve performance for their particular sport or activity.

Agility

Agility is:
The ability to change
and control the direction and position of the body while maintaining a constant, rapid motion. For example,

Athletics:
-changing directions to hit a tennis ball.
-All Star Running Backs changing direction to evade the defense.

Everyday:
Q: What are some everyday situations in which we may need Agility?

Balance

Balance is:
The ability to control or stabilize the body when a person
is standing still or moving.
For example:

Athletics:

-In-line skating
-Gymnastics

Coordination

coordination is :
The ability to use the senses together with body parts
during movement.
For example:

Athletics:

-Dribbling a Basketball.
-Hitting a Speed Bag

Power is:
The ability to move the body parts swiftly while applying the
maximum force of the muscles. Power is a combination of both speed and muscular strength

-Speeding to advance a Football
-volleyball players getting up to the net to spike.

Reaction Time

Reaction Time is:
The ability to reach or respond quickly to what you hear, see,
or feel.
For example:

-An athlete quickly coming off the blocks in Swimming
-Stealing a base in Baseball.
