WHAT HAPPENED

At11 years old, Sky Brown could become the youngest Olympian representing Great Britain ever. She took the bronze medal at the 2019 Park World Skateboarding Championship held in São Paulo, Brazil.
If she makes it, she will compete in skateboarding but she also does surfing and snowboarding and won Dancing With The Stars: Juniors competition in 2018

WHEN DID THIS HAPPEN/IS IT HAPPENING?

THE SUMMER OLYMPICS WILL BE IN JULY OF THIS YEAR BUT SHE STILL HAS TO QUALIFY

I thought that the authors purpose was to entertain because she was telling us about this girl and how she might be competing in the Olympics.

This is newsworthy because it could change the future of skateboarding. It could also change the future of Great Britain at the Olympics. It could change the future of skateboarding because it could have an effect on the future Olympics because this girl will probably be in a lot of Olympics ahead. And, it could also affect girls in skateboarding too.

WHY DID YOU CHOOSE TO WRITE ABOUT THIS?

I love sports
I cant wait for the Tokyo Olympics.
And this girl will make history.
