3/14/14 7:42am. East

Friday March 14, 2014.
7:33am. Sunrise.

The sun is just above the horizon, shining through haze – a big orange globe.

We are surrounded by grey, low clouds on all sides; long and thin, patchy, very shallow vertical height.

3/14/14 7:42am. South

Some are higher and white, also with the tiniest bit of verticality; these curl up at the eastern edge.

3/14/14 9:14am. East

3/14/14 9:14am Southeast

Not completely obscuring the sun; only partially obscuring the blue sky.

9:45a.m.
Skies overhead are a bright blue and clear. But where I can see the horizon, which is over the bay, there's a white haze lingering in the air.
4:50p.m.
Sky still clear blue. The haze at the horizon has turned to a pale orange. There's a fading contrail in the East, and to the South half a dozen vultures soar on a thermal.
5:15p.m.
Now there's the barest hint of a white veil straight above, and the vultures are tiny specks.

7:00p.m.
The pale orange moon hangs in the dusty salmon-purple haze. Above it, in the blue, wispy clouds sail by. They and the translucent layer of humidity streaming in from the West are just becoming tinged with pink from the setting sun.

8:45am
The cerulean sky is decorated with white, wispy cirrus clouds.

12:15p.m.
No change.

Monday March 17th, 2014

9:40a.m.
Hey! That cloud is actually blocking my sun.
The sky is suddenly full of detached, puffy, white cumuli. A few have light grey patches.
(Ah--here comes the sun again.)
These appear to streaming due south at a decent clip. Oh wait, that one is doing vertical lifting before my eyes! How exciting.

3/17/14 9:40am. West

Yes, they are all roiling in slow-motion, and the tops are being turned back in, allowing for the cotton-ball look.

3/17/14 9:45am. Southeast.

3/17/14 10:17am. South.

10:20am
It's breezy, and the puffy cumuli have given way to (turned into?) wispy cirrus.

3/17/14 10:16am. Overhead/West

1:00pm.
Of the fluffy clouds not much remains. Those long thin straight cirrus look like old contrails. The sky is a bright, deep blue now. It's still breezy.
