This article titled “Hester Prynne as a Rebel to Puritan Society” by Zaheer Ahmad talks about how Hester Prynne mirrors the sin of the people who judge her. Discrimination and inequality is also show to prove how women were not treated equally. It displays the hardship women go through and how they deal with society’s bitterness. Hester's true strength is shown because even through all the traumatic events taking place she still provides for her and pearl. This shows how she is slowly and carefully creeping her way back into being accepted as a normal person in her local society while still facing some opposition.
