Slaves can not run away

PUNISHMENT

• The slave owner has to pay $6 for the slaves to be returned with any other additional fees

REASON

• So that slaves can be controlled and so they don't run away

Slaves do not have the right to rebel

PUNISHMENT

• If slaves are found guilty of this then they can be put to death

REASON

• So that slaves have less rights then others and can be controlled

When slaves go to court most of the jury is made up of slave owners and they determine the number of witnesses needed to convict

PUNISHMENT

• A bias,unfair trial in court

REASON

• Slaves wouldn't be seen or treated as equals
