Smallpox Causes

  • There are two ways to obtain the disease smallpox.
  • One, is to come in close contact for a elongated amount time
  • with someone who has smallpox.
  • The other is to come in direct contact with the variola virus.

Smallpox Symptoms

  • The first symptoms of smallpox are fever and aches.
  • Soon sores will appear in the mouth.
  • They will break down causing bumps on the body.

Smallpox Prevention

  • The best way to prevent smallpox in to get vaccinated
  • Washing hands and not having contact with opening in
  • the body, like the nose and mouth, will help.
  • Keeping distance from someone who has smallpox is also
  • important.

SMALLPOX EFFECTS

  • The victim will suffer sever head aches,
  • fever and vomiting.
  • Smallpox will also attack the heart and lungs
  • causing internal bleeding and blood poisoning.

SMALLPOX MEDICAL ADVANCEMENTS

  • Smallpox was eradicated with the smallpox
  • vaccine.
  • A strategy known as "Ring Vaccination"
  • helped doctors get rid of smallpox.

SMALLPOX DEATH TOLLS

  • Smallpox kills about 30% of its vitims.
  • In the 18th century smallpox killed 60million
  • people.
