WHAT DOES IT AFFECT?

  • Smallpox affects the skin cells.
  • Smallpox produces bumps on the skin.
  • Creates a fever.

Smallpox

  • Smallpox is a deathly infection.
  • Smallpox causes a vastly rash and a towering fever.
  • Smallpox cause bumps on you skin.
  • The virus variola causes smallpox.

SYMPTOMS OF SMALLPOX

  • Smallpox symptoms are similar to flu symptoms.
  • You have a high fever.
  • You are very tired(fatigued.)
  • You have headaches and backaches.
  • You will have rash with red sores(seen in picture.)

CAUSES OF SMALLPOX

  • Contact with the infected person
  • In contact with an infected persons cough or sneeze
  • Sharing of clothing, sheets,ect.
  • The variola virus

DEATH TOLL

  • Cases of Smallpox-1921
  • Above 100,000 cases of smallpox were journaled
  • End of 18th Century-Death Toll
  • 400,000 Deaths were documented

  • Stay away from people with smallpox
  • Get the vaccine

  • The smallpox disease had no treatment.
  • Although certain medicines can help symptoms.
  • The last case of smallpox is believed to be in 1949.
