The Middle East peace process was thrown into further jeopardy with the U.S and Israel condemning a new deal announced by feuding Palestinian factions. Including the militant group Hamas.
Why do we care?
According to the Israeli prime minister, the Hamas group is a terrorist organization. The last thing the U.S wants is to get another terrorist attack.
New Zealand
In January, a huge earthquake shook part of New Zealand's north island, rattling buildings and knocking out the power for thousands of people. It also caused a giant sculpture of an eagle that provokes a scene from 'The Hobbit' to fall to the ground in one of the country's main airports.
Why do we care?
New Zealand may need financial help to repair all of the damage. And they might go to the U.S because it is a very developed country with a lot of money.
