PRESENTATION OUTLINE

Social for women in web

Having our slice of what men have had for ages

Women make up 46% of the UK work force

but only 15.5% of the STEM workforce are women

We lose them at A level

But we can find them again!

It's never too late to be who you want to be

Boys, booze, a wrong turn, family, ill health can't get in our way

GOOGLE KNOW A THING OR TWO ABOUT THE FUTURE

Great slides from Eric SHCMIDT

The women of web just need to be found

And believe they are what people are looking for

What I noticed we do:

  • Doubt how much we know
  • Suffer imposter syndrome
  • Worry about lack of modesty
  • Wait until we’re ready
  • Want to be liked

The answers are

  • Support
  • Hobnobbing
  • Experience
  • Reading
  • Apparentness

Social media is the answer
