SOCIAL STRUCTURE OF MESOPOTAMIA

At the very top was the king. The king was responsible for making the laws.

Right after the king was the priest,the second highest people in the classes. They were considered doctors at the time.

The scribes also belonged in the upperclass and were well educated.

The lower class was the Commoners. They were not educated. This class included pottery making and fishing etc.

The slaves were at the bottom of the Mesopotamia Social Class. They had no rights and worked for the upper class people.
