He was an Athenian sculptor who loved philosophy. He wanted to prove Sophists wrong.(1)

An infantryman for Athens during the Peloponnesian War that ended up being a philosopher.(3)

Why is he important?
He believed in an absolute right or wrong. He created the Socratic way of thinking. He taught Pluto, who taught Aristotle, who taught Alexander the Great.(1)

Asked people questions that were probing and humiliating, which started the Socratic method of teaching. He taught Plato.(2)
