SOIL SALINITY

WHAT IS SOIL SALINITY?

  • Soil Salinity is the amount of salt in the water table

PROCESS OF SALINIZATION

  • When it's raining the rain drops contain salt which gets soaked up by soil so The water table gets saltier which is bad for crops. Usually long rooted trees would suck up the water because we areplanting so many short rooted trees they don't suck up much water So the water table rises and is salty. Which is bad for the crops
