ABOUT SOJOURNER TRUTH

  • Sojourner Truth was born in 1797 and died in 1883
  • She had 5 kids, Diana, Elizabeth, Hannah, Peter, and Sophia
  • In 1826 she escaped from slavery
  • In 1850 The Narrative of Sojourner Truth was published
  • In 1851 she made the “Ain’t I a Woman” speech

Sojourner Truth is brave because she escaped slavery. She made speeches for women’s rights.

I can be brave because I got the coronavirus and I am still here. Also I go in the pool even though I can’t swim.

Sojourner Truth is risk taking because she ran away from her master. Also she made speeches even though she knew that people didn’t like her speeches.

I can be risk taking because I climb high stuff. Also I jump off my bed.

Sojourner Truth is strong because when she was only 13 she was 6 feet tall. She could do more work than older people.
