6. Some advantages of solar energy is that it is estimated that the worlds oil reserves will last for 30 to 40 years. On the other hand solar energy is infinite(forever), it can also be used in remote areas where it is too expensive to extend the electricity power grid.

7. Some disadvantages of solar energy is that the energy can only be harnessed when its daytime and sunny. Solar collectors, panels and cells are relatively expensive to manufacture although prices are falling rapidly.

8. Typically within about a year enough of the dust has been cleared from the atmosphere, that the normal temperature returns.

We have always used the energy from the sun as far back as 5,000 years ago, people worshiped the "Sun." We know the sun is the nearest star . We use the sun every day for multiple reasons.

Extra Facts: Windmills are used most to make solar energy. Solar energy is the main cause of wind. It is used to make a organic burning fuel. Solar energy is lauded as an inexhaustible fuel source that is pollution and often noise free.
