The sun is the center of our Solar System.
The sun is also a star, full of gases.
No astronaut has been to the sun because its lightyears away.
It takes 1,000 Earths to be the size of the sun.
The sun provides heat and energy for us.

Mercury is the closest planet to the sun.
In Rome mythology Mercury is the god of commerce.
Mercury is also an inner planet.
Mercury is alike in some ways to the moon.
But mercurt is denser than the moon.

Venus is tye second closest to the sun.
Venus is also s little bit smaller than Earth.
It is a very rocky planet .
Venus also had no moons.
Venus spins backward which makes the sun rise on the west.

Earth's name does not come from Roman mythology.
Earth is the third away from the sun.
The Eartg is also the densest in th Solar System.
The Earth only has one moon compared to other planets.
The thickest layer of the Earty is the mantle

Mars is the Red Planet.
Mars has the largest volcanoes in all the Solar System.
Mars is colder than Earth.
Mars' axis is tilted towards the sun.

Jupiter orbits around our Earth.
Jupiter's atmosphere is made mostly out of hydrogen.
Jupiter is a gas giant with no solid surface.

Saturn is the only planet with rings.
It is a gas giant.

Neptune is a sister gas giant to uranus.

Pluto is a dwarf planet.
It is the smallest planet.
