MOST SOLDIERS THAT WROTE LETTERS PURCHASED FROM SUTLERS.

  • They wrote home to their relatives.
  • Soldiers wanted to let their relatives know they were okay.
  • Almost all the soldiers that wrote letters asked for better food.

MOST SOLDIERS HAD AN EDUCATION UP TO THE FOURTH GRADE.

  • They had incorrect spelling in their letters.
  • No one was able to teach the soldiers how to spell nether neatness.
  • The soldiers that wrote letters said " I know you can barely read my letter".

SOME SOLDIERS ASKED COMRADES TO WRITE THEIR LETTERS FOR THEM

  • Soldiers have better educations now than they did then.
  • Most soldiers could neither read or write.
  • The letters in the article are hard to read because it is sloppy and lots of words were misspelled.

MOST PARENTS MAILED THE SOLDIERS CLOTHING ITEMS,CANDIES, SOAP AND WRITING PAPER.

  • The soldiers would be cold during the night.
  • The soldiers wanted food to gain weight or wanted better food in the war.
  • The soldiers wanted to write letters to their parents to let them know what was going on.

BY WORLD WAR II COMMUNICATION WAS EASIER BECAUSE A SPEEDY MAIL WAS INVENTED.

  • The mail got to its location in about twenty-eight hours.
  • It was faster because the soldiers used E-Mail on a computer.
  • The soldiers got their messages faster than it used to be back then.
