I would begin by introducing myself to the client. Then I would sit the client down and get them properly draped for a haircut. I would consult with them about what they are wanting to achieve with their hair today, and what their end goals are (are the trying to grow their hair out, grow their bangs out, etc.). To begin the cut, I would first wet the hair and then section into 4 parts. Then I would start with a horizontal subsection on the back of the head and cut at a 0 degree elevation to creat my guide, gradually working my way up the back of the head, following my guide. After that I would start on one side of the head with another horizontal subsection and create my guide just above the ears, working my way up in more horizontal subsections. Then move on to the other side in the same way. Once finished I would double check tat both sides are even. Then blow dry and style my clients hair.
