WHAT WAS IT?

• They were a secret, underground organization founded by Samuel Adams and John Hancock.
• The group was founded in August, 1765.

THE SONS OF LIBERTY FORMED IN AUGUST,1765

The group formed because the sons of liberty disagreed with the British because of the taxes ,so they started to protest against them.

It is important to American history because if the sons of liberty did not rebel and start the revolution we would either be British or not alive.
