EXPOSITION

• At Kauai Beach in Hawaii she is surfing with her friends when a shark comes up and bites off her arm.

• On valentines day Bethany's dad asked her mom to marry him "she married me 6 months later."
• When she got attacked she wasn't terrified or she wasn't panicky.
• Holt (Alana's dad) called Bethany's mom and told her that Bethany had lost an arm.
• Bethany said, "Your arm actually hurts,but you know there is nothing to hurt.

CLIMAX

• When she finally got to surf for the first time after the attack.

FALLING ACTION

• She wrote this book and it has been 5 years since the accident
• and a lot has happened.
• They asked her if they could make a movie about it.

• She agreed to make a movie of her life and the attack.
