ANDES MOUNTAINS

THE ANDES MOUNTAINS IS LOCATED ON THE WEST COAST OF SOUTH AMERICA.

THE CITIES THAT THE ANDES RUN THROUGH ARE:

  • Colombia
  • Ecuador
  • Peru
  • Chile
  • Bolivia and Argentina

CLIMATE AND VEGETATION

  • The Andes climate ranges from a tropical climate to an icy climate, it just depends how high you climb.
  • The Andes vegetation consists of mosses, lichens, and dwarf shrubs.
  • The Andes livestock consists of llamas and sheep.

FACTS

  • The Andes is 5,500 feet long.
  • It's the longest mountain range in South America

THE AMAZON RAINFOREST

It's located on the east side of South America.

Mostly Brazil then goes to neighboring countries also.

  • The vegetation has been described as the lungs of our planet.
