• It of all the birds species 20% of them live in the Amazon Rain Forest.

ANDES AND THE ALTIPLANO MOUNTAIN

• The climate has a relationship with the Andes Mountains
• The higher you go on the mountain the colder it gets
• In the Andes there is the Polyepis Forest

LOCATION

• It stretches along Western South America
• It is the longest mountain in the world with a distance of 5,000 miles
• It is the the second highest range in the world
• The Altiplano is made up of a series of basins
• Is one of the world's highest populated regions with the countries Peru and Bolivia

• The Southern part of Altiplano has copper, silver, tungsten, and tin
• The Andes reaches to about 4,000 meters
• People can put the Andes into three sections
• The Northern Andes, The Southern Andes and the Central Andes

LLANOS

• Is a wide grassland area
• Cattle ranches and small farms are common
• Warm climate
• The rainfall average is about between 45 and 180 inches

LOCATION

• Covers an area about 220,000 square miles
• They are north and west the Andes and south to the Amazon Basin
• In Venezuela and Columbia

FUN FACTS

• Has a crocodile that is 23 feet in length
• In the Llanos there is the largest existing boa in the universe
• The boa is recorded to be over 23 feet long
• That during the rainy season it rains so heavy that is is hard to use the land
