SOUTH ASIA

LANGUAGE

THE MAIN LANGUAGES ARE HINDUSTANI AND ENGLISH.

GOVERNMENT

  • South Asia have Caste System and Federal Government.
  • The South Asian people share many socio-economic and political problems, such as:
  • Poverty, illiteracy, unemployment, unequal treatment of women.
  • Violence against women, pollution, exploitation of child labor
  • and religious fundamentalism.

RELIGIONS

  • Their main religion systems are Hinduism and Islam.
  • Islam believe in only one god, Hindu believe in Karma.

URBAN/RURAL

  • Most of the people live in rural but some live in cities.
  • In rural area people live in huts, people live in cities live in modern homes.

FAMILY RELATIONSHIPS

  • People in South Asia have a large family.
  • The parents, grandparents, sons, daughters, aunts and uncles.

SOCIAL STRUCTURE

  • The most of the countries in South Asia share the same social structure.
  • There are upper class, middle class and lower class.
  • People in upper class have been accepted good education, and have a high income job.
  • Many people are in the middle class, they have a job and a house in big or middle city.
  • The lower class live in countryside or bustee. They concern their life everyday.

FASHION, LITERATURE, ARTS AND MUSIC

  • Literature is written in English as well as the many national and regional languages of the region.
  • Music is include the musical traditions of this subregion of Asia. 
  • Although the cultural development of the area was once dominated by Indian influence,
  • a number of cohesive traits predate the Indian influences.
  • for Ex., batik textiles, gamelan orchestras, and the wayang puppet theatre are still popular.

EDUCATION

  • In India, people treat Math as the most important thing.
  • So when they are really young kids, they can do many Maths, even more than Chinese.
  • Poor kids have no money to go to school,so they learn some skill at home to surpport their family.
  • Normal kids go to school and learn almost same thing in United States but more harder. 

LAND USE

  • Single person has the authority to sign a deed to sell, rent,
  • or lease a property and no one else can do the same with the property.
  • In Joint ownership any one of the owners has the right to decide on a property,
  • and it eliminates the need of a power of attorney if one of the owner is absent.
  • In South Asian, most of the lands are used for farming.

TRADING NETWORKS

  • People are exchange silk,golds, and the petroleum.
  • They trade longan, mango, pineapple, and rice outside their region.

DIVERSITY

  • The main minority groups in South Asia are Bhils, and Uzbecks.
  • Even today South Asian work really hard on the equality between men and women.
  • women still do not have the same chance on the work.
  • In India, there are some rights women cannot enjoy, and women do not get the respect that they should have.
