PERSONAL LIFE

• Enrique Iglesias was born in Madrid,Spain on May 8, 1975
• He is the youngest of three children
• His father is famous Spanish singer Julio Iglesias
• He moved to Miami with his father after his grandfather was kidnapped
• He spent most of his time with his nanny
• As a teen he started writing and performing songs at local Miami restaurants
• After graduating high school, he enrolled at the University of Miami where he studied business for a year

ACCOMPLISHMENTS

• Enrique Iglesias is famous for his singing career
• Not wanting to become famous because of his father, Iglesias sent his first demos of his work as Enrique Martinez
• In 1995, Iglesias got a record deal and his debut CD hit stores
• In 1997, he released his follow up album which made over 5 million dollars in sales and prompted his first world tour
• In 1999, he released his third album which became No. 1 on U.S charts

• By 2012, Iglesias had sold over 40 million world wide
