Spelling Change Verbs

Verbs that end in -ger

• add an "e" before the -ons ending of the nous form
• Example Verb: voyager(to travel)
• je voyage
• nous voyageons
• Example sentence : Nous voyageons a Paris. 

Verbs that end in -cer

• the c become c(with a cedille) before the -ons ending of the nous form 
• Example verb: commencer ( to begin)
• je commence 
• nous commencons(with a cedille on the second c)
• Example Sentence: Nous commencons(with a cedille on the second c) a 3h30. 

Verbs that end in -yer

• changes to "i" in all forms except nous and vous forms
• Example verb: envoyer (to send )
• j'envoie 
• nous envoyons
• Example sentence:  J'envoie les cadeux lui.

• the last consonant is doubled in all forms except for the nous and the vous
• Example verb: appeler(to call)
