Therefore, brothers and sisters, in view of the mercies of God, I urge you to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God; this is your true worship.
6 According to the grace given to us, we have different gifts: If prophecy, use it according to the proportion of one’s[b] faith; 7 if service, use it in service; if teaching, in teaching; 8 if exhorting, in exhortation; giving, with generosity; leading, with diligence; showing mercy, with cheerfulness.
Do not be conformed to this age, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may discern what is the good, pleasing, and perfect will of God.
For by the grace given to me, I tell everyone among you not to think of himself more highly than he should think. Instead, think sensibly, as God has distributed a measure of faith to each one.
Now as we have many parts in one body, and all the parts do not have the same function, in the same way we who are many are one body in Christ and individually members of one another.

Make a decision to make yourself, your whole self
The act of presenting yourself is a decision that needs to be made
You make yourself available to be used by God:
personally - its your body, not someone else's
willfully - a personal response to God's appeal made at some point in your journey
sacrificially - putting God's will in front of your own.......

Living sacrifice - God wants you to be productive while youa re alive, its not a death sentence.....
Holy - set apart for a specific purpose God has handpicked for you
Pleasing to God - who are you living to please?
Service/Worship - latrew - which means that my motivation for serving/worshipping God flows out of my connection with what he has done for me......

Through the renewing of your mind
Let his mind be in you that was also in Christ Jesus
Ephesians 4:20 That, however, is not the way of life you learned 21 when you heard about Christ and were taught in him in accordance with the truth that is in Jesus. 22 You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; 23 to be made new in the attitude of your minds; 24 and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.

One that can verify God's will
His good: positive, helpful, characteristically designed to help us, strengthen us, provide that breathe of fresh air we have been needing
pleasing: acceptable, willing to bless and affirm, in sync with His desire for us
perfect: - mature, complete, full
will, desire, hope for us, direction, path he has laid out for us to follow
Now we are ready to discuss what God has decided for us each as it relates to our spiritual gifts
One that can verify God's will

We will learn more about the timing of all this as we move thorugh the series, but today we learn that these spiritual gifts are given to us based on God's sovereign choice
thus the admonition to not think too highly of ourselves.....when we get impressed with our abiliities we need to remember that anything we have comes from God
we are responsible to identify what this measure of faith is......
develop this measure of faith
and put this measur eof faith to work in the body of Christ
every believer has a gift
