• With the passing of the act, conditions would be inspected weekly
• This would result in fewer injuries and death

FEWER HOURS CLAUSE

• With the passing of this clause, they have time for school and education
• They get proper amounts of sleep
• They have time to be a kid and time to have fun
• This is needed so that kids can work only 10 hours, rather than 14

HIGHER PAY ACT

• With the passing of this act, laborers could provide for their families
• They would have more motivation to work, with more money
• They were being paid 73 cents, which converts to $17.14 today, they should have been paid at least $1.00
